Ultra Orthodox Jews in the Holy Land Mourn the creation of
the Zionist State of "Israel"
On April 24, 2007, on the 59th Anniversary of the creation of 'Israel', Ultra Orthodox Jews in the Holy Land mourn the Creation of the Zionist State by wearing clothes of 'sackcloth', a traditional expression of grief.
The wearing of "sackcloth and ashes" to demonstrate their sadness was a spontaneous event and not meant to be viewed as an organized protest.
