QUOTES FROM THE PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE
RABBIS OF THE RABBINICAL COURT OF
JERUSALEM
We hereby explicitly
prohibit in the most stringent terms any participation of any
person in the celebrations relating to the observance of the
Zionist Day of Independence – as it is stated in Psalms Happy
is he who does not follow the advice of the wicked, and who
does not stand in the path of sin.
On the
contrary, it is on this bitter day that the Zionist heretics
declared war on Judaism with their heresy and persecution of
religion in the Holy Land, and proceeded to endanger all Jews
with their vile provocations.
Every person who is
conscious of this situation must cry over the fact that the
Name of G-d is so terribly desecrated along with all of the
commandments of the Torah and our faith in the coming of the
Messiah.
Woe to the generation in which such things
occur!! We warn parents and teachers to protect your
children in every possible way from going to watch or
participate in the wicked events.
Whoever listens to
our words shall surely merit to see consolation and salvation
for the Jewish People.
Rabbi Yitzchak Tovia
