"Is Zionism today the real enemy of the Jews?
Yes."
Article by Oxford Professor Confirms
the Position of True Torah Jews
In an article published in the "International Herald
Tribune" on Friday, February 4, 2005, Avi Shlaim, a British
Academy Research Professor at St. Antony's College, Oxford, England
reiterates the message our organization, True Torah Jews, has been
advancing for some time: that Zionism promotes anti-Semitism and
represents a threat to Jews worldwide.
The article recognizes "...it is these settlers [zionists] who
also endanger the safety and well-being of Jews everywhere."
and in its conclusion states:
"This perception of Israel is a major factor in the recent
resurgence of anti-Semitism in Europe and the rest of the world. In
this sense, Zionism today is the real enemy of the
Jews. [emphasis ours] It is a tragedy that a state
that was built as a haven for the Jewish people after the Holocaust
is now one of the least safe places on earth for Jews to live in."
This article can be read in its entirety at the International
Herald Tribune Website.
While we don't agree entirely with Professor Shlaim, a supporter
of Zionism, we do applaud the "International Herald Tribune" and
Professor Shlaim for his courage in acknowledging, even as
a Zionist, the real threat of Zionism to Jews worldwide.
